Dr. Jessica S. B. Denniston is an Assistant Professor of Practice and Director of Student Experiential Learning at Arcadia University. She holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Arcadia University (2015) and is a licensed physical therapist in Pennsylvania. She is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy (NCS, 2018) and a certified yoga instructor (2020). Her clinical practice began at TIRR Memorial Hermann in Houston, focusing on inpatient rehabilitation for stroke, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury patients, with specialization in Disorders of Consciousness, Neurobehavioral, and Spasticity Management teams. She actively participates in Arcadia’s international service learning programs since 2014, traveling to Guatemala, Jamaica, Belize, and Bolivia, and leads local pro-bono clinics. Her research and educational interests emphasize global health, policy, mindful community partnerships, and outcomes assessment for sustainable care.
Professionally, she is a member of the Neurology, Oncology, and Leadership and Innovation sections of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
