Jessica Potter

Jessica Potter is an artist and Researcher at the Royal College of Art (RCA), affiliated with the School of Arts & Humanities. Her work bridges photography, ecology, and phenomenology, exploring themes of commonality, care, and human-environment relations. She holds a 2013 PhD from RCA titled The Photograph as a Site of Writing. Current research involves plant matter, lumen prints, and ecological fieldwork. Potter is an editor at Copy Press and collaborates with the Centre for Art and Ecology at Goldsmiths College.

Her practice emphasizes site-specific methodologies and interdisciplinary projects. Notable exhibitions include Walker Evans Revisited (2022), Rocks and Weeds (2019), and Making of a Meadow (2024). She also organizes events like Travelling Distances (2022), blending art, performance, and academic discourse.
