Dr. Jessica Pitt is a Professor in Academic Programmes at The Royal College of Music (RCM), specializing in research on musical play, learner-centred music education, and music as a tool for communication. She holds roles as a doctoral supervisor within the London, Arts and Humanities Partnership (LAHP) and oversees the research department at RCM. Her work is supported by the Froebel Trust and her directorship of Magic Acorns, an early years arts company. She serves on the editorial boards of Music Education Research and Music and Science, and sits on the board of Sound Sense, a UK community music organization.
