Jessica Pissini

Jessica Pissini is a Teaching Professor of Digital Communication at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) since 2022. Previously, she taught at Arts & College Preparatory Academy (2020–22) and served as a graduate teaching associate at The Ohio State University (2016–20). Her academic background includes a Ph.D. in Arts Administration, Education, and Policy from The Ohio State University, an M.A. in Historical and Cultural Visualization from Duke University, and dual B.A.s in Classics and Integrative Arts from Pennsylvania State University.

Her research focuses on digital innovation in arts education, museum technology, and the intersection of virtual media with cultural heritage. Her work also bridges academia and industry, with extensive experience in film/TV production design, theater props, and set fabrication for major productions like Jurassic World, Batman vs. Superman, and Avengers.

Notable recognitions include grants from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation (2016) and the Kress Foundation (2015). She actively presents research at venues like The Ohio State University’s Hayes Graduate Research Forum and Duke University’s Tilt Symposium.
