Dr. Jessica Mitchell is a Research Fellow at the University of Edinburgh, co-leading the CE4AMR network and focusing on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) within the context of human-wildlife conflict. As a zoologist, her work explores the impacts of drug-resistant infections on wildlife health and behavior, human activities driving AMR in wildlife, and AMR as a form of human-wildlife conflict.
Her research spans One Health dynamics, educational resource development for communities, and evaluation strategies for behavior-change mechanisms. Outside academia, she applies participatory research to global challenges through climate and environment-focused education projects.
