About
Jessica Miller is a Professor at Oregon State University's Coastal Oregon Marine Experiment Station, researching marine ecology, fisheries science, otolith chemistry, mixing/migration, and early life history. Her work advances understanding of how environmental variation impacts marine organisms' dispersal, growth, and survival.
Current research examines climate impacts on Pacific cod, including metabolic responses to warming, heatwave effects on nursery habitats, and cumulative impacts on early life stages. She develops techniques for analyzing calcified structures and studies population connectivity using otolith chemistry and genetics.
