Jessica Mehre is a Lecturer in the Department of Agronomy at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, affiliated with the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies. She holds a dual bachelor’s degree in Dairy Science and Agronomy from UW-Madison, a master’s in Plant Agriculture from the University of Guelph, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Environmental Studies at her alma mater. Her research focuses on sustainable agricultural systems, combining mechanistic soil science with community-driven place-making initiatives in east-central Wisconsin.
