Jessica Mahon Scoles

Jessica Mahon Scoles is an Assistant Professor of Law at the School of Law, Western New England University. She joined the faculty in 2022 and teaches Lawyering Skills and Appellate Advocacy, while coaching the National Moot Court team.

Research Interests focus on legal education frameworks, with a specialization in trial advocacy pedagogy and AI-driven civil rights challenges. Her work bridges practical courtroom skills and emerging technology ethics.

Publications highlight trends in appellate training and algorithmic bias, with subtopics spanning legal performance, data privacy, and healthcare litigation.

Experience: Prior to her current role, she served as a visiting assistant professor at Boston College Law School and adjunct professor at New England Law. She has over a decade of litigation experience in securities fraud, bankruptcy, and civil rights, including clerkship at the U.S. District Court (Massachusetts) and roles at Harvard Law School’s Legal Services Center and Massachusetts Appeals Court.
