Jessica Kraker

Dr. Jessica Kraker is a Professor of Mathematics at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire (UWEC), affiliated with the College of Arts and Sciences. She holds a PhD in Statistics from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities and has taught at UWEC since 2006. Her research focuses on data-mining techniques, penalized regression, time series analysis, and sports analytics. She actively contributes to interdisciplinary collaborations and curricular development, including courses in statistical programming and data mining.

Education: PhD (Statistics, 2006) and M.S. (Statistics) from University of Minnesota - Twin Cities; B.A. (Mathematics) from University of Minnesota - Morris.

Research interests include sports analytics, environmental climate data analysis, and the application of R programming in statistics education. She maintains an active presence in the academic community through speaking engagements and mentoring student research projects.

Teaching responsibilities span undergraduate and graduate courses, including introductory statistics, advanced data mining, and R programming tutorials. She also supports university initiatives through committee service and summer teaching.
