Jessica Harris is a Lecturer and Course Leader for the BSc Physiotherapy program at the School of Health and Social Care, part of the College of Health, Wellbeing and Life Sciences at Sheffield Hallam University. Her clinical specialty focuses on Respiratory Physiotherapy and Critical Care, combined with expertise in curriculum development and collaboration with NHS providers.
She qualified as a physiotherapist from Sheffield Hallam University in 2012 and transitioned to Higher Education in 2018, holding a permanent Lecturer role since 2021. She is nearing completion of an MSc in Advancing Professional Practice.
Her research centers on enhancing practice-based learning quality, informed by her MSc dissertation. As Placement Lead, she has developed robust clinical placement opportunities across four practice pillars. She maintains a private clinical practice for complex cardiovascular and respiratory cases.
