Jessica Davidson

Jessica Davidson is an Honorary Lecturer in the Nursing Division at Queen Margaret University and a Senior Clinical Forensic Charge Nurse with South East Scotland Police Custody and Forensic Examination Service. She chairs the RCN Nursing in Justice and Forensic Committee and holds dual awards as a Royal College of Nursing Fellow and Queen’s Nurse.

Her career spans emergency services, community outreach work, and police custody/forensic nursing. Core interests include addressing health inequalities through trauma-informed care, improving mental health outcomes, reducing violence, and tackling addiction. She co-leads the Advanced Clinical Forensic Practice course, a Scottish Government-endorsed initiative to elevate forensic nursing standards in police custody and sexual assault examination.
