Jessica Buck is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the University of Western Australia (UWA) Medical School and an Honorary Research Associate at the Telethon Kids Institute (affiliated with The Kids Research Institute Australia). She holds a DPhil in Oncology from the University of Oxford (2019) and an MSc in Neuroscience (2015). Her research focuses on brain tumor biology, medulloblastoma, drug discovery, radiotherapy, and MRI imaging. She leads projects on pediatric brain cancer treatments and health equity for Indigenous populations. She received the 2020 Forrest Fellowship and has contributed to initiatives addressing gaps in care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children with cancer.

Research Interests: Her work spans brain tumor mechanisms, preclinical drug testing, radiation oncology, and improving access to precision therapies for marginalized groups. She collaborates on mouse models and MRI applications in oncology.

- Developing more effective and less toxic treatments for rare brain cancers in infants (Medical Research Future Fund, 2026–2028)
- Exploiting and enhancing brain-resident immune cells for pediatric brain stem glioma (Cancer Australia, 2021–2023)
Labs & Teams: She is part of the Brain Tumour Research Program at UWA and the Telethon Kids Institute, contributing to translational oncology and health equity initiatives.
