Jess Aslan

Jess Aslan is a Lecturer in Music and Music Technology at the Department of Performing Arts, Kingston School of Art, Kingston University London. They specialize in computer-assisted music performance, algorithmic composition, and music technology education. Their research focuses on machine learning in mixed music, music technology pedagogy, and the integration of computers in live performance.

Education includes a BMus Music (Goldsmiths), MSc Digital Composition and Performance (Edinburgh), and a practice-based PhD in Creative Music Practice (Edinburgh Reid School of Music, 2016). Teaching roles include positions at Goldsmiths College and the University of the Creative Arts, Surrey, with courses on Interactive Composition, Live Electronics, and Sonic Arts.
