Jerry Ritchey is a Professor and former Department Head (2015-2020) at the Department of Veterinary Pathobiology, Oklahoma State University. He serves as Director of the Immunopathology Core Program for the Oklahoma Center for Respiratory and Infectious Diseases, maintaining active roles in teaching veterinary and graduate students while rotating through diagnostic services at the Oklahoma Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory.

Research Interests: Focus on anatomic pathology with emphasis on immunopathogenesis of respiratory diseases, translational animal models for infectious diseases, neutrophil activation in viral infections, and gut-bone axis modulation through prebiotics.
Recent Publications: 15 most recent works examine SARS-CoV-2 pathogenesis in feline models (2024-2021), prebiotic effects on bone metabolism (2024), RSV vaccine development (2024), and immunomodulation in respiratory diseases (2022-2021). Research employs advanced techniques including RNA sequencing, immunohistochemistry, and viral genomic analysis.
