Jerris Hooker, Ph.D., is an Adjunct Professor in the Electrical & Computer Engineering Department at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering. He holds a B.E.E. from Florida State University (2002), M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Florida A&M University (2006 and 2010 respectively). He concurrently serves as a postdoctoral researcher at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory.
Research Interests:
Dr. Hooker focuses on:
- Modeling of resonant devices
- HTS NMR probe development
- Spiral resonator design
- High-temperature superconductors (HTS) applications
- Numerical methods in engineering
Professional Activities:
Mentor for the SAIL High School Robotics Club, guiding students in FIRST Robotics competition projects involving robot design and optimization.
