Professor Jerold Friedland is a full-time faculty member at DePaul University College of Law, where he serves as Director of the LLM in International Law (with a concentration in International Business, Commercial, and Trade Law) and the LLM in Taxation. He also directs the Vienna University of Economics Exchange Program.

His research focuses on international business transactions, taxation of partnerships and LLCs, and legal frameworks for cross-border collaborations. He has authored influential publications on these topics, emphasizing practical applications in global commerce and tax compliance.
Professor Friedland has been recognized as a Fulbright Scholar, conducting research in China, the Czech Republic, and Austria, and received the Katherine A. Ryan Distinguished Visiting Professor title. He has taught at the University of Illinois, Brigham Young University, and Shandong University in China.
He teaches courses in Business Planning, Corporate Taxation, Federal Income Tax & Policy, International Business Transactions, International Taxation, and Partnership Taxation.
