About
Dr. Jeri L. Fox is an Associate Professor and Program Coordinator for Aquaculture and Aquarium Sciences at the University of New England. She developed and launched the innovative Aquaculture and Aquarium Science program, the first of its kind in the field. Her research focuses on larval marine fish feeding physiology and identifying candidate species for sustainable aquaculture.
Current research involves culturing diverse marine species including clownfish, dottybacks, basslets, cleaner shrimp, Banggai cardinals, and corals through collaborative projects with New England Aquarium Technology. Her investigations target critical first-feeding stages of larval fish to improve aquaculture viability.
Dr. Fox's academic journey includes a B.S. in Organismal Biology (University of Tennessee), M.S. in Marine Biology (University of Houston), and Ph.D. in Fisheries Science (University of Washington).
