Jeremy White

Jeremy White is a Senior Lecturer at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), affiliated with the Department of Art History within the College of Letters and Science. He holds a Ph.D., M.Sc., and B.Arch. from UC Berkeley and the University of Arizona. His research focuses on modern landscape architecture, urbanism, and the architecture of the United States, with current projects exploring memory/history in architecture and contemporary architectural practices.

He co-edited The Routledge Companion to Critical Approaches to Contemporary Architecture (2019/2021) and City Halls and Civic Materialism (2014). White teaches at UCSB and the Brooks Institute’s M.F.A. program. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Architectural Foundation of Santa Barbara and the Santa Barbara branch of the American Institute of Architects.
