Jeremy Hamm

Dr. Jeremy Hamm is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at North Dakota State University. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Manitoba and completed postdoctoral fellowships at the University of California, Irvine, and Concordia University. His research investigates how motivational and self-regulatory mechanisms—including personal beliefs, discrete emotions, and goal-directed behaviors—facilitate adaptive development during stressful life transitions across adulthood.

His work is supported by grants from NIH, CIHR, SSHRC, and DAAD, and he leads the Motivation and Healthy Adult Development (MHAD) Laboratory, which develops interventions to promote well-being during life stressors.
