Dr. Jeremy Gregory is Executive Director of the MIT Climate and Sustainability Consortium (MCSC) and a Faculty Fellow in MIT’s Office of Sustainability. He leads cross-disciplinary efforts to quantify and reduce MIT’s environmental footprint, especially scope 3 greenhouse-gas emissions, and has previously directed the MIT Concrete Sustainability Hub.

Research Focus: Dr. Gregory’s work centers on the economic and environmental implications of engineering and system-design decisions, particularly in materials production and recovery systems. His methods encompass product and firm environmental footprinting, manufacturing and life-cycle cost analysis, and characterization of sustainable material systems. These approaches have been applied to pavements, buildings, automobiles, electronics, consumer goods, and waste treatment and recovery.
Grants & Industry Collaboration: Throughout his career, Dr. Gregory has secured extensive funding and forged partnerships with industry leaders, government agencies, and international academic institutions. Notable programs include the MIT Concrete Sustainability Hub and the MIT Portugal Program, both of which integrate rigorous research with real-world implementation.
