Jeremy Engels is the Liberal Arts Endowed Professor of Communication Arts & Sciences at Pennsylvania State University and Barry Director of the Paterno Fellows Program. His work focuses on communication ethics, democracy studies, and mindfulness practices. He holds a B.A. from University of Kansas (2002), M.A. from University of Illinois (2003), and Ph.D. from University of Illinois (2006). Professor Engels has received prestigious awards including the Karl Wallace Award and New Investigator Award from the National Communication Association, as well as the 2017 College of Liberal Arts Teaching Award.
