Jeremy Dawkins is a Professor in the Weapons, Robotics, & Control Engineering Department at the United States Naval Academy. His research focuses on the design, development, and deployment of unmanned systems, with an emphasis on scalable solutions and low-cost relative positioning methods for unmanned system teams.
He led a Midshipmen team in the DARPA Service Academies Swarm Challenge (2017), where they developed swarm combat tactics for unmanned aerial vehicles. Currently, he serves as Principal Investigator for the ONR-funded Squad with Autonomous Teammates Challenge (SWAT-C), studying the integration of autonomous systems into squad-level military tactics through head-to-head exercises with Army and Navy units.
His work bridges academia and military applications, emphasizing practical implementation of autonomous technologies in tactical scenarios.
