Jered Borup

Jered Borup is Associate Professor and Academic Program Co-Coordinator for Learning Technologies in Schools at George Mason University's College of Education and Human Development. He holds a Ph.D. from Brigham Young University and serves as Associate Director of the Global Online Teacher Education Center.

Borup's research examines support systems for adolescent online learners, focusing on academic communities of engagement and K-12 blended teaching models. His work develops practical frameworks for online instruction, teacher preparation, and parental involvement in digital learning environments.

He has authored influential open-source textbooks on blended teaching and maintains an extensive publication record with over 54 articles. His leadership includes co-editing the Journal of Online Learning Research and chairing international conference tracks.
