Prof. Dr. Jens Scheiner is a Professor of Islamic Studies at the University of Göttingen. His research focuses on the political, cultural, and religious history of the Near East from late antiquity to the post-classical period (600–1500), with a specialization in Hadith literature and Isnad-cum-Matn analysis. He also engages in teacher training, school projects, and intercultural competence training beyond academia.
Research Interests: Includes Islamic history, Hadith studies, Muslim expansion, Baghdad's cultural history, Arabic historiography, and early Islamic empire dynamics.
