Jens Pflaum

Prof. Dr. Jens Pflaum is a Professor and head of the Pflaum Group at the Chair of Experimental Physics VI (Energy Research), University of Würzburg. His research focuses on energy-related materials, photonics, and organic electronics. Research interests include organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), singlet fission, thermoelectric materials, and plasmonics. His recent work emphasizes exciton dynamics, nanoscale devices, and energy conversion mechanisms. Key projects involve plexciton dynamics in hybrid systems and ultrafast electron diffraction studies of molecular excitations.

Advising: Supervises Master's student Julian-Steven Schilling. Group members actively contribute to cutting-edge research in materials science and nanotechnology. The Pflaum Group collaborates on advanced optoelectronic applications, including individually addressable nanoscale OLEDs and carbon-based additive thermoelectrics.
