About
Jens Oluf Jensen is a Professor at the Department of Energy Conversion and Storage, Technical University of Denmark (DTU). His research focuses on electrochemical systems for sustainable energy, including advanced materials for fuel cells and alkaline electrolyzers. He leads projects addressing polymer electrolyte development, noble-metal-free catalysts, and energy storage technologies aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Research Interests:
- Electrochemical materials for renewable energy applications
- Alkaline electrolysis and polymer membrane engineering
- Development of cost-effective energy storage solutions
Recent publications emphasize innovations in nanoparticle catalysts, ion-solvating polymers, and benchmarking electrolyzer performance. His work bridges fundamental material science with industrial-scale energy systems.
Advisory & Grants:
- Supervises PhD students in projects like "Durable alkaline ion-solvating membranes" and "Next generation electrolyzers for power-to-X".
- Collaborates on EU-funded initiatives such as the Noble Free electrolyzer project (2014–present).
He actively participates in international conferences and serves as a supervisor for multiple doctoral candidates.
