Jenny Sharpe is a Professor of English, Comparative Literature, and Gender Studies at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the University of Texas, Austin. Her research focuses on postcolonial theory, Caribbean literature, archive studies, and the Black Atlantic, with an emphasis on colonial and postcolonial dynamics, gender, and affective memory.
Dr. Sharpe’s teaching includes graduate courses on postcolonial theory, the postcolonial archive, and postmodernism in postcolonial fiction, alongside undergraduate courses on Caribbean contact zones, literature, and postmodernism.
