Jenny Rodriguez

Jenny Rodriguez is a Senior Lecturer in Employment Studies at Alliance Manchester Business School (The University of Manchester), leading the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Research Theme at the Work & Equalities Institute. She holds adjunct roles as External Examiner at Southampton Business School and serves on national committees for Race Equality initiatives. Her expertise spans intersectional inequality in global work contexts, transnational migrant experiences, and decolonizing academic practices.

• Education: Prior academic roles at Newcastle University Business School and University of Strathclyde Business School

Research focuses on intersectionality frameworks applied to skilled migrant women's transnational careers, regulatory regimes in global workplaces, and feminist critiques of neo-colonial structures. She has pioneered methodological innovations in qualitative intersectional research, editing 9 special journal issues since 2017.

Recent work includes co-editing the 2025 Elgar Encyclopedia entries on decolonial feminism and intersectionality, and contributing policy evidence on female entrepreneurship barriers to UK parliamentary committees.
