Jennifer Zakrzewski

Jennifer Zakrzewski is an Associate Professor of Education at Charleston Southern University, where she coordinates the Early Childhood, Elementary and Child Development Programs. Holding a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction of Mathematics Education from the University of South Florida (2015), she also earned an MA in Elementary Education from Cambridge College (2007) and a BS in Elementary Education from Westfield State University (2005). With 13 years of elementary/middle school teaching experience, including roles as math coach and assistant principal, she joined Charleston Southern in 2018.

• Expertise: Technology-enhanced mathematics instruction (iPads, QR codes, digital textbooks)
• Current Projects: Adapting courses for hybrid learning models post-COVID-19

Her scholarship includes 5 peer-reviewed publications and 12 conference presentations on gamification, retrieval practice, and virtual engagement strategies in mathematics education. She actively serves in professional organizations like the South Carolina Council of Teachers of Mathematics and the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.
