Jennifer Young

Dr. Jennifer Young is a Senior Lecturer in Early Modern English Literature at the University of Greenwich. She serves as program leader for MA English: Literary London and teaches modules including Research Skills for Literary Study, Imagining the Metropolis, and Spaces of London: Early Modern to the Eighteenth Century.

Her research examines British colonial history through literary lenses, particularly focusing on gender dynamics in empire-building and slavery during the 18th-19th centuries. She specializes in Shakespearean adaptations and early modern textual criticism.
