Jennifer Stock

Jennifer Stock is a Lecturer in the Department of English at Yale University, specializing in creative nonfiction and cultural analysis. Her work has been published in prestigious literary journals such as the Iowa Review, Yale Review, and New England Review. She holds a B.A. in Music and English from Yale University and a Ph.D. in Music Composition from the City University of New York.

Her research focuses on essays that bridge artistic and cultural critique, notably her project on the cultural history of self-love. She has received notable awards, including the 2019 New England Review Award for Emerging Writers and recognition in Best American Essays for two of her essays. Her writing often explores themes of art, identity, and historical context through innovative narrative techniques.

Dr. Stock’s academic contributions are complemented by her interdisciplinary background in music and literature. She currently teaches courses in creative writing and cultural studies at Yale.
