About
Jennifer Sinclair is an Assistant Professor Educator in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Cincinnati since 2019. Previously, she served as Assistant Professor (2009-2015) and Associate Professor (2015-2019) of Mathematics at Georgia Gwinnett College. She holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Tennessee (2009) and a BS in Mathematics from the University of the South (2003).
Her research spans stochastic processes and mathematics education. In probability theory, she focuses on infinitely divisible processes, Lévy processes, and tempered stable processes with applications in mathematical analysis. In education, her work addresses STEM pedagogy, flipped classrooms, and hybrid learning environments. She has published in journals such as Journal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications and International Journal for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.
Her recent presentations include a talk on generalized tempered stable processes (UNC Charlotte, 2016) and a dissertation on Lévy processes (Cornell, 2007). Sinclair co-authored a chapter on generalized tempered stable processes in a Banach Center Publications volume (2010).
No scientific awards are listed. She has contributed to curriculum development in STEM disciplines but no advising/grants are explicitly mentioned. Her work emphasizes bridging advanced mathematical theory with innovative teaching methodologies.
