Jennifer Schneider is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Film and Media Arts at Temple University’s School of Theater, Film and Media Arts. Her work bridges cinematography and narrative direction across film and television. She has received recognition for her technical and creative contributions, including the ICG Local 600 Emerging Cinematographer Award (2017) for her work on Maggie Mahrt's short film UNBOUND.
Her research interests focus on visual storytelling in environmental and scientific contexts, as seen in her PBS NOVA documentary Can We Cool The Planet? (2020) and the IMDb Original docu-series BUG OUT (2020). Schneider’s projects often explore intersections between art, science, and culture through immersive cinematography and documentary techniques.
