Jennifer Renz, MD is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Science at Yale School of Medicine, specializing in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery. She joined Yale after 8 years at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.
Dr. Renz's research interests focus on oculoplastics, orbital surgery, and eyelid reconstruction. Her clinical work addresses complex eyelid and orbital issues including ptosis repair, blepharoplasty, entropion and ectropion surgery, management of benign tumors and cancers of the eyelids and orbit, Mohs reconstruction, facial trauma and orbital reconstruction, lacrimal obstruction, thyroid eye disease, and orbital inflammation.
Her publications span ophthalmic surgery literature with contributions to Archives of Ophthalmology, book chapters in "The Infected Eye," and editorial work for "Grand Rounds" in Ocular Surgery News. She regularly presents at local, national, and international conferences.
Dr. Renz is dedicated to medical education and was instrumental in establishing a new ophthalmology residency program during her tenure at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.
