Jennifer Provencher

Dr. Jennifer Provencher is an Adjunct Research Professor in Carleton University's Department of Biology and a researcher at Environment and Climate Change Canada. Her research examines wildlife health impacts from plastic pollution, contaminants, parasites, and diseases, with a focus on Arctic ecosystems and chronic wasting disease. Collaborations include Indigenous, territorial, and federal partners.

Her work examines microplastic pathways, contaminant vectors in food webs, and community-based monitoring. Field studies span Canadian Arctic regions, with publications in high-impact environmental journals.
