Dr. Jennifer Protudjer is an Associate Professor at the Max Rady College of Medicine and Endowed Research Chair in Allergy, Asthma and the Environment at the University of Manitoba. She co-directs the Academic Skills in Medicine (ASK) program and serves as a research scientist at the Children’s Hospital Research Institute of Manitoba (CHRIM) and an epidemiologist at the George and Fay Yee Centre for Healthcare Innovation.
- Education: PhD (Applied Health Sciences, 2012), MSc (Human Nutritional Sciences, 2007), BSc (Human Nutritional Sciences, 2005), all from the University of Manitoba. Post-doctoral fellowships at Karolinska Institutet in medical epidemiology, biostatistics (2012-2014), and environmental medicine (2014-2018).
Her research examines environmental risk factors for and societal consequences of allergic diseases, focusing on food allergy and anaphylaxis. She uses mixed-methods approaches to study financial and mental health impacts, child development, and healthcare access, collaborating with families, schools, and policymakers to improve systems.
Dr. Protudjer is affiliated with the International Research Network on Transitions to Adulthood from Care (INTRAC), SPOR Evidence Alliance Research Network, and Specialized Services for Children and Youth (SSCY) Research and Evaluation Committee. She also works with the Centre for Allergy Research at Karolinska Institutet.

Her lab engages in knowledge translation through collaborations with national food allergy organizations and community outreach, including educational videos on food allergy management and vaccine safety for children.
