Jennifer Olson

Jennifer Olson is a Clinical Associate Professor and Coordinator of Secondary Education Programs in the Department of Curriculum & Instruction at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) College of Education. She currently serves as the Visiting Associate Dean of Teacher Education, overseeing innovative programs that emphasize inclusive and responsive teacher preparation. Her research focuses on culturally responsive pedagogy, global education, and teacher professional development, particularly in urban settings.

Dr. Olson leads the College of Education's global initiatives, including partnerships with international institutions in Brazil and Costa Rica, and the UIC BEST program, which integrates biomedical engineering research into high school STEM curricula. She has expanded study abroad opportunities for students and faculty, advocating for cross-cultural competence through immersive experiences.
