Jennifer Mueller

Jennifer Mueller is an Associate Professor of International Studies, Politics & Human Rights at Marymount Manhattan College, where she also chairs the Department of International Studies. She is based in Carson Hall, Room 202B, and has been a member of the faculty since 2016.

Educational Background:

• M.A. in International Affairs, Columbia University, School of International and Public Affairs
• M.Phil. in Political Science, City University of New York, Graduate Center
• Ph.D. in Political Science, City University of New York, Graduate Center

Her research focuses on critical areas in global politics, including conflict and wars, the evolution of international norms, and the legal frameworks of human rights and humanitarian law. She teaches courses on the United Nations, international law, and international relations, aligning her instruction with her scholarly expertise.

Her academic work contributes to the broader understanding of international systems and legal mechanisms governing state and non-state actor behavior in times of peace and conflict.

Jennifer Mueller has previously taught political science at Queens College, CUNY, and City College, CUNY, prior to joining Marymount Manhattan College.
