Jennifer Merton

Jennifer Merton is an Associate Department Chair, Senior Law Lecturer, and Coordinator of the Law Lecturers in the Management Department at the University of Massachusetts. She holds a JD from the University of Connecticut School of Law (1990) and a BA from Mount Holyoke College (1987). Her professional experience spans solo legal practice, business coordination, and judicial clerkship.

Her research focuses on estates and trusts, elder law, business succession planning, and corporate sustainability. She teaches courses on securities regulation, corporate governance, environmental law, and ethics, including directing the Isenberg Ethics Competition.
