Jennifer McCarty

Jennifer McCarty, MD is an Associate Professor in the Department of Radiology at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston) School of Medicine. She is a board-certified radiologist with specialized expertise in neuroradiology, having earned her Certificate of Added Qualification in this subspecialty in 2018.

Dr. McCarty completed her medical training at the University of Texas Medical Branch (2007-2011), followed by a Transitional Year Internship and Diagnostic Radiology Residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (2011-2016). She then completed a Neuroradiology Fellowship at Emory University (2016-2017). Her academic journey has positioned her as an expert in spine imaging and head and neck radiology.

Her research interests span clinical applications of radiological techniques for spine disorders, skull base lesions, and ischemic infarction in young adults.
