Jennifer Johnson, DNP, RN, CNE serves as an Assistant Professor in the Undergraduate Nursing Program at Ursuline College's Breen School of Nursing & Health Professions.
With over 20 years of clinical experience, Dr. Johnson has practiced extensively in adult medical surgical settings, cystic fibrosis care, and cardiac nursing across West Virginia, Michigan, and Ohio. Her academic profile demonstrates a strong connection between clinical practice and teaching.
Her research interests focus on the role of nurses in early sepsis identification and innovative teaching learning practices in nursing education. These interests bridge her clinical expertise in medical-surgical nursing with contemporary educational methodologies.
Dr. Johnson earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Marshall University, her Master of Science in Nursing from Michigan State University with specialization in family nursing, and her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Walsh University.
Her professional background combines substantial clinical experience with academic teaching, positioning her as an educator who integrates real-world nursing practice into the undergraduate curriculum.
