Jennifer Hontz

Jennifer Hontz is a Professor of Mathematics, Co-Director of the Dual Degree Engineering Program, and Department Chair of Mathematics and Computer Science at Meredith College. She holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics (1998) and two B.S. degrees in Mathematics Education (1992) and Applied Mathematics (1993), all from North Carolina State University. Her research focuses on Kac-Moody Lie Algebras of Indefinite Type, with a strong emphasis on advancing mathematics education and interdisciplinary STEM initiatives.

Dr. Hontz has been affiliated with Meredith College since 2000 and actively participates in the Mathematics Association of America (MAA) at national and regional levels.
