Jennifer Hayton is a Lecturer in Costume for Performance at the London College of Fashion. Her practice focuses on devised performance, dance theatre, site-specific installations, and sustainable costume design. She has collaborated on high-profile projects including Art On the Underground commissions, the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee events, and international touring productions like Side Effects Dance Theatre. Her work has been showcased at venues such as the Royal Opera House, Sadler’s Wells, and the Royal Albert Hall.
Hayton’s research explores the intersection of archives and the costumed body, with her designs featured in the Museum of London’s Jubilee Archive, CSM Museum, and Liberty Archives. Her costume work has been published in World of Interiors and Wallpaper* magazine.
With over 20 years of experience in education and practice, her current PhD research emphasizes sustainability and archival practices within costume design. She actively engages with large-scale public projects, blending art, performance, and community participation.
