Jennifer Hand

Jennifer Hand is a Lecturer at Jacksonville State University's School of Nursing, where she has taught since 2021. She instructs pharmacology and Adult Health clinical courses while serving on committees within the College of Health Professions and Wellness. Prior to this role, she accumulated 14 years of clinical experience across mother-baby, pediatric, and neonatal nursing, including work as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.

Her educational background includes:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Jacksonville State University (2009)
• Master of Nursing Practice in Pediatric Primary Care from University of South Alabama (2017)

Her research addresses critical healthcare disparities, with focused interests in underserved populations, pediatric client advocacy, and childhood obesity interventions. This work is informed by her extensive clinical background and previous simulation coordination experience in obstetrics/pediatrics training programs.
