Jennifer Graham

Jennifer Graham is an Honorary Lecturer at the University of East Anglia's School of Environmental Sciences and a Senior Ocean Modelling Scientist at the Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science (Cefas). She holds a PhD in Environmental Sciences from the University of East Anglia (2007–2011) and has held roles including Senior Ocean Modeller at Cefas (2017–present), Senior Ocean Modelling Scientist at the Met Office (2015–2018), and Postdoctoral Researcher at Old Dominion University (2013–2014).

Her research focuses on regional ocean modeling, ocean-atmosphere interactions, and climate impacts on marine ecosystems. Key interests include model resolution effects, shelf-sea exchanges, and physical oceanography's role in ecosystem variability. She develops high-resolution ocean models (ROMS, GETM, NEMO) for forecasting and environmental applications.

Recent work emphasizes seasonal forecasting of North-West European shelf seas, marine connectivity of fish populations, and climate change impacts on coral reefs. She collaborates internationally on projects addressing water quality, plastic pollution, and sustainable marine management, contributing to UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Notable contributions include the UKC3 coupled prediction system and analysis of Antarctic hydrographic data. Her articles span climate modeling, marine conservation, and oceanographic dynamics, with a focus on translating scientific insights into actionable environmental policies.
