Jennifer Gonyea

Jennifer Gonyea is a Clinical Professor at the University of Georgia’s College of Family and Consumer Sciences, Department of Human Development and Family Science. Her work focuses on clinical supervision, teaching pedagogy, and couple/family therapy. She holds a Ph.D. in Child and Family Development (2005), an M.S. in Counseling (1996), and a B.S. in Psychology (1994), all from SUNY institutions and UGA.

Her research emphasizes clinical practice improvement, supervision of trainees, and Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL). She teaches courses like CFT Ethics, Systems & CFT Theory, and supervises practicum at the Love & Money Center. She maintains a part-time private practice in Athens, prioritizing low-cost services for the community.
