Jennifer Garrison is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Social Work at Saybrook University. She holds a PhD in Human Behavior (Capella University, 2019), an MA in Counseling with a Forensic Concentration (Argosy University, 2013), and a BA in Psychology with a Religious Studies minor (Arizona State University, 2009). Her expertise spans counseling, addictions, incarcerated populations, and comorbidity. Dr. Garrison has extensive experience working with diverse populations, including adolescents in residential lockdown and adults with comorbid diagnoses in hospitals and community programs.
Her teaching focuses on criminal justice, psychology, substance abuse, and incarcerated populations. In 2020, she founded a nonprofit organization supporting incarcerated individuals in self-publishing art and literary works. She is licensed as an LPC in Arizona, LCPC in Illinois, and LPCC in California.
