Jennifer G. Audette is an Associate Professor at the University of New England (UNE), specializing in physical therapy education. She joined UNE in 2019 and previously served as Program Director until June 2023. With 21 years of PT education experience, she holds a BS in Physical Therapy (Northeastern University, 1988), Advanced Master's in PT (Boston University, 1992), and PhD in Education (University of Rhode Island, 2011).
Her research focuses on international clinical opportunities for physical therapy students, curriculum development, and faculty practice. She has organized over 100 global experiential learning programs across 20+ countries. Dr. Audette is Guatemala Project Director for Health Volunteers Overseas (HVO) and serves on the Executive Board of the North America Caribbean Region of World Physiotherapy (WP). She has conducted volunteer work in Suriname, Haiti, and Guatemala.
Awarded the 2024 Ronnie Leavitt Award for Social Responsibility Leadership and the HVO Golden Apple Award, she also holds APTA's 2020 Fellowship in Education Leadership. She previously served as Director of Social Responsibility for APTA’s Academy of Leadership and Innovation and chaired the APTA Global Health Special Interest Group.
