Jennifer Frye is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Recreation Management and Policy at the University of New Hampshire's College of Health and Human Services. With over two decades of experience in therapeutic recreation, she teaches undergraduate and graduate courses including Therapeutic Recreation Rehabilitation Principles & Interventions, TR: Aging Services, and Professional Development & Ethics. She holds dual certifications as a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) and Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS/L).
Her research examines therapeutic recreation interventions for vulnerable populations including veterans and older adults. The 2011 publication The PATH-way home demonstrates her focus on accessibility and transition support for veterans with disabilities. She received the CHHS Outstanding Clinical Faculty Member Award recognizing her teaching and clinical contributions.
Professor Frye has supervised hundreds of student internships and clinical experiences. Her academic background includes an M.S. in Health Management and Policy and B.S. in Therapeutic Recreation from the University of Southern Maine, plus a Certificate in Medical/Health Management & Clinical Assistance.
