Jennifer Davis is an Associate Professor in the Department of Intelligence Analysis at James Madison University's College of Integrated Science & Engineering. She also serves as Associate Director of Research and held a concurrent position as Associate Professor at the National Intelligence University (ODNI). Her career includes roles as a Staff Officer at DIA and Technology Consultant at Accenture.
Education: M.Phil & Ph.D in Political Science (International Relations) from George Washington University (2010), M.A. in Political Science from University of Nebraska-Lincoln (1997), and B.A. in French and Political Science from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (1995).
Research focuses on international criminal law/human rights, European security dynamics, democratic backsliding in EU member states, and gender issues in national security leadership. Active in professional organizations including Women in International Security (WIIS) and the ISA International Law section, where she previously chaired.
Notable recognitions include the DIA Director's Award and ODNI Exceptional Analyst designation. Served as Special Advisor on Darfur for the State Department's Office of Global Criminal Justice (2022-2023). Teaches courses in intelligence analysis methodology and research design.
